Our income comes from a number of sources, including ticket sales and hall hire, donations from local people, the Friends scheme and grants from trusts. Following the loss of our district council funding, so we are having to work even harder to raise sufficient money to continue with our programme of events. And there are lots of ways you can help:
We have a donations box in the Chipping Hall, and also donation envelopes. So if you have really enjoyed an event there, why not give us your change. Or you could send a cheque, payable to Wotton Arts Project, to 14 Cotswold Gardens, Wotton-under-Edge, GL12 7HW.
If you are a UK taxpayer, you can Gift Aid your donation and make it worth an extra 25% at no extra cost to you. So if you donate £20, we get £25! We have Gift Aid envelopes in the Hall that you can use, and then place in our donations box.
Set Everyclick as your home page, and every time you use the search engine you can raise money for us, without it costing you a penny.
Think about sponsoring an event or performer in our programme. Your name would appear in all our publicity material, including the 5,000 leaflets distributed to households in Wotton and the surrounding villages.
Or you could sponsor a piece of equipment. This is our current wish-list:
Hot water urn £80
CD system £300 (consisting of individual components:
iPod Dock £20
CD Player: £120
Poster printing £100 per programme (3 programmes per year)
A4 perspex frames £100 (20 frames)
Programme Leaflets £600 per programme
If you or your business are interested in sponsoring us in some way, please contact Sam Carlton on 01453 520346 or email email@example.com
We often hold events to raise money for our activities. These have included music evenings, open gardens, promises auction, postcard exhibitions, Pianothon, Town Hall Teas. You can help just by coming along and supporting us, and bringing your friends.
Or perhaps you could organise your own event to raise funds for UTEA - just contact us if you have an idea.
For more details on our forthcoming fundraising events, please see the Calendar section of this website.
We know this isn't something that everyone likes to think about, but leaving a gift to charity in your will is an amazing way for your generosity to last beyond your own lifetime.
And if you leave a gift to a charity in your will, its value will be deducted from your estate before Inheritance Tax is worked out. So please think about leaving a legacy to Wotton Arts Project, and help us continue our work well into the future.
The income from Friends scheme goes directly towards our running costs, so by becoming a Friend you will be helping to safeguard the future of the Chipping Hall and of Under the Edge Arts. You will also receive invitations to events specially for Friends, and have opportunities, should you wish, to get involved and have input to the project. For more information visit our 'Friends' page.
