Jassy has performed in concerts and festivals in both the UK and Australia, and in doing so has won several awards. Most recently, Jassy has performed with Buxton Festival Opera, Scottish Opera, and Northampton Festival Opera. Recent concerts performances include a selection of Puccini arias at St George’s Church, London, as well as a concert performance of The Magic Flute. Helen Johnson Mezzo-Soprano Helen Johnson was born in Tonbridge, and after graduating from the Colchester Institute, completing her training at the Trinity College of Music. Helen has won several awards including the Joan Greenfield Trust Award, the Lloyd Award, and the Malpas & Palamoke Award, as well as being a finalist for the Wagner Bayreuth Bursary. She has previously performed in three ETO productions (Spirit of Vienna, Jenufa, and Eugene Onegin), as well as performing with Buxton Festival Opera, Opera Della Luna, Ilford Opera, and Opera East. Samuel Boden Tenor Samuel Boden trained at the Trinity College of Music, graduating with 1st Class Honours in 2006. During his time as a student, Samuel won several awards including the Ricordi Opera Prize, The Derek Butler London Prize, and the Wilfred Greenhouse-Allt Prize. Since leaving college, Samuel has continued to win awards such as the Paul Simm Opera Prize and the Harold Hyam Wingate Scholarship. He has also made a number of broadcasts, including a live performance of Poulenc’s Bleuet for Radio 3, and a solo recording for BBC’s Scouting for Boys. Simon Lobelson Baritone After graduating from Sydney University with 1st Class Honours, Simon Lobelson went on to train at Royal College of Music, where he graduated with distinction in diplomas for voice, opera studies, and advanced opera studies. Simon has given recitals in several venues around the world, with his most recent being at the Lucern Festival, Sydney Town Hall, and the Church of St. Martin-in-the-fields, London. He has also made a number of recordings including the Drunket Poet in Purcell’s Fairy Queen (ABC Classics), as well as some of the soundtracks for Star Wars III, and The Golden Compass.
