Alison trained in Design and Illustration at Middlesex Polytechnic, graduating in 1983 and thereafter followed a successful career in design, illustration and design management.

Since 1994 Alison has focused on painting and illustration, working on both private and commercial commissions.  Many of Alison’s paintings and designs are reproduced as cards, on china and on textiles.  Her work is permanently exhibited in a number of galleries and is in many private collections.

Alison works in a wide range of media including acrylics, watercolour and mixed media, creating lively paintings which capture the essence of her subject.

Alison teaches and runs workshops for schools, Art Centres, Art Groups and recently for Artists and Illustrators magazine.  She is a member of Gloucestershire Art for Schools.
