Saturday 16th December 2017

Get into the festive spirit with The Blue Badgers. Expect a wide range of styles from Hillbilly to Gypsy Punk, Irish folk to heartfelt blues and boogie played with freshness and infectiously enthusiastic vocal harmonies and featuring fiddle and accordion as well as double bass, harmonica, guitar and drums.

The Blue Badgers deliver an enjoyable mix of new and more familiar songs. You can try but it takes a strong will to resist the urge to dance to this band: For the last few years they have raised the roof. ‘It’s the best night I’ve ever had at the arts centre’ said one of our regular attendees.

Sunday 17th December 2017

This December the Junior section of Wotton-under-Edge Dramatic Society presents a dramatised ‘Rehearsed Reading’ of ‘A Christmas Carol’ by Charles Dickens. Many people will be familiar with the story of how in one ghostly Christmas night, cold-hearted businessman Ebenezer Scrooge learns to pity himself and to love his neighbour, and this production will also add warmth and Christmas spirit in the form of music, themed refreshments and decoration to get the audience well and truly in the festive spirit.

Tickets will be on sale from the Heritage Centre, The Chipping, Wotton-under-Edge from Monday 20th November.

Welcome to Baby Land, a highly interactive, multi-sensory musical experiences for the very young. Suitable from birth!
A programme designed to honour new parents and welcome new life, creating space for them to just be. It encourages parents to provide their baby with face to face interaction and encourages musical interaction, which helps nurture early developments of speech perception.

Hartbeeps encourages learning using themed sessions around environmentally familiar aspects of babies lives, such as bath time, encouraging learning of the language they are listening to. Gestural games and songs and repeated sensory exploration in a relaxed and informal setting, where children are not expected to sit on parents’ laps, encourages babies’ natural development.
