Spring Pre-loved Clothes Swish : 7:30pm - 9:30pm

If you no longer wear it, you might as well share it!

Building on the success of our first Clothes Swishing Party last autumn, the Wotton Are Climate Action Network invites you to the Spring Swish - a great evening of meeting new people, having fun with your friends and swapping your unloved clothes & accessories to some fabulous new items.

What is swishing?
You bring the things in your wardrobe that are not quite your colour, not a good fit or not really your style. The items you look at but never wear! Items that you would happily give to a friend. They could be clothing, shoes, scarves, hats or bags. You donate them and hopefully find other things to take home which make your heart sing.

How does it work?
You bring a maximum of ten quality, clean items that you are ready to pass on. Scarves are welcome too for our lucky dip but they don't count as one of your ten items. Please bring items on hangers if you can (you'll take things home on hangers).

You'll receive one raffle ticket per item, this is your "money".

Enjoy a glass of fizz ( or non-alcoholic alternative) while we sort the donations. We will try our best to sort the garments by size and type of clothing.
You can look at the garments during this time but no trying on yet!

When all the sorting completed, try on time starts! If you'd like an item, you exchange one of your raffle tickets per item. It's great fun, if two of you like the same item, decide who looks best in it?

Then there will be a free for all period when you can take what you want from what's left. Any left over items will be taken to the local charity shops in Wotton.

What happens if you donate an amazing item but do not find something you want?
This is about letting go and giving garments a chance to be loved. We hope you'll find something you love, if not, watch the fun and enjoy a chat (and the bubbly).

Please pre-book your place so we can plan numbers & helpers accordingly.

ELVIS vs JERRY LEE LEWIS : 8pm

Who was the real king of rock ‘n’ roll? Elvis the Pelvis? Or The Killer – Jerry Lee Lewis? This is your opportunity to decide as the two come head to head! Be excited once more by the sheer energy of Elvis’ hits such as Hound Dog, All Shook Up, Don’t Be Cruel, Blue Suede Shoes and Teddy Bear and Jerry Lee Lewis’ hits such as Great Balls of Fire, Whole Lotta Shakin’, High School Confidentia, Good Golly Miss Molly and Breathless. Two breathtaking performers in the guise of Dave B (Elvis) and Peter Gill (Jerry Lee Lewis) remind us all why rock ‘n’ roll will never die!
