FILM NIGHT - About the Land : 7:45pm for 8:15pm

The fourth and final in our series of documentary films by Jane Darke.

This film looks at the richness of rural life and is a work in progress.

Directed by Jane Darke who made the iconic film The Wrecking Season about a winter of beach-combing on the North coast of Cornwall, About the Land film looks inland from the same coast.

St Eval is three miles long and two miles wide and yet all life is represented here: changing farming methods, migration of people, war, conservation, green energy production and recycling on an epic scale.
At the centre of the film is the community of St Eval Parish. The film is about gathering an archive from their family photographs and recorded memory.

MOLLY-ANNE with band plus support (TBC) : 8pm

Molly-Anne is a young and upcoming Country musician, multi-instrumentalist and award-winning songwriter from local North Nibley, Gloucestershire, bringing a quaint British charm to the Americana genre.

With a soulful, Country inspired-sound fused with elements of indie and folk, Molly accompanies herself on the harmonica, acoustic guitar and banjo. With over a decade of performance and writing experience under her
belt, Molly draws her inspiration from artists such as Bob Dylan, Alison Krauss, Eva Cassidy, Passenger, Laura Marling and Mumford & Sons.

Writing poetic, upbeat songs and enjoying a joyfully sweet but unabashed live presence, Molly-Anne released her debut EP 'Songs From The South' with title track 'Polperro' in June 2018 and followed quickly with her
single 'Talkin Bout Somethin' which saw airplay on BBC Introducing and BBC Gloucestershire as well as resulting in a nomination as a featured artist on Blues & Roots International Radio (UK, USA, CA).

Molly-Anne enjoyed sell-out headline shows in her local county on her Sunshine 2018 summer tour, recently supported Noble Jacks on their UK tour and is now looking forward to supporting one of her heroines Cara Dillon
in March 2019 as well as planning a Southern UK tour in March '19 with Danny McMahon.

Supported live by the energetic ‘band of Andy’s’ (Andy Guy on Double Bass & BVs, Andy Chinner on Cahon) the trio are storming through the South-West country and folk scene. Rave reviews have them firmly as a popular
live favourite around the UK, get your dancing shoes on, this is not one to miss!
