Art Of Self Expression : 10am - 12pm

Mixed media, painting and drawing

With Steph Cormack

Learn to develop your creative process through drawing, painting and mixed media. Through experimenting with different techniques we will create colourful, intuitive and personal projects. We will explore ideas about communication and self-expression, in an informal and relaxed environment.

£15 per session to be paid in a six week block

SCJC JAZZ JAM : 8pm

From 8pm once a month (every second Friday)

Free entry, donations welcome, bar open, PA provided

Bringing the benefit of jazz as an art form to the local community and to multiple levels of ability. All instruments/vocalists will be made welcome. If you can play the blues and want to have a crack at jazz – this is for you! If you want to come and just listen that is fine too. Jazz Jam Sessions are led by John Cook, Shairon Lloyd, Peter Neale and JJ Shaw.

THE EGG : 8pm

The Egg are dance technicians - they play live rocktronic, funk and house inspired big textural dance music, using electronic and live instruments with video triggers, samples and live and vocodered vocals. inspired by Pink Floyd, DFA Records, New Order, Underworld, Air, George Clinton, Primal Scream.

The band are well known on the UK festival circuit and the club scene, with albums ‘Albumen’ and ‘Travelator’ on Warners, and following that: ‘Forwards’- enjoying a worldwide hit with the massive (Berlin based) Tocadisco electro-house remix of 'Walking Away' and the David Guetta bootleg that followed “Love don’t let me go”. (no.3 UK charts, (No.1 in Spain for 6 weeks), and the biggest selling dance record in the world.


They have played throughout Europe, Australia and Brazil, Costa Rica, Panama, India, and the USA jam scene, playing alongside USA jam bands such as Lotus, Disco Biscuits, Camp Bisco, NYC - 15 trips to USA..
They have produced TV soundtracks: ‘At home with the Braithwaites’, movie: ‘The Other Half’ and performed in Nil by Mouth (Gary Oldman), & a highly successful Citroen C4 advert.
They also co wrote and performed ‘For Lovers’ with Pete Doherty, reaching no.7 in the UK charts, performing on Top of the Pops, and at Brixton Academy.

They have worked on, with or been remixed by: Psychemagik, Tocadisco, Mylo, David Guetta, Rollo (Faithless), Camille Jones, Sophie Barker, Pete Dohery, The Next Men, Fila Brazillia, Grand National, Freddy Mercury (remix), Dusty Kid, Ulrich Schnauss, Chris Bruton (underworld) Oliver Koletski, White Bully, Atomic Hooligan, Greg Hunter (The Orb) & Youth (Killing Joke, Pink Floyd + more), John Monkman, Roger Eno, Matt Black (Coldcut) and Mick Jones (the clash)

NEW ALBUM 'Galactic Love Machine' 2018

Ned and Maff (The Egg) have been writing music with Greg Hunter for the last few years, with releases on CD, Itunes, Beatport and [external link] such as 'Psyfunk EP, Horizons EP, And Stonestock single and remixes, plus Horizons ep and Deep Sea + remixes on itunes/ beatport & CD.


Greg Hunter - the producer of 'Galactic Love machine' is well respected throughout the producer’s community for his huge amount of work, from The Orb’s Little fluffy clouds, U.F.ORB Crowded house, Subsurfing, Dubsahara, the soundtrack to ‘The Matrix Reloaded' & 'Matrix Revolutions’ And much more. He’s using the name AZ-RA for this collaboration. He can be found releasing under his label Mutantra records.

The band completed a tour of Asia last year as well as performing at Joshua Tree Music Festival, California and in Ibiza plus various UK festivals. We are thrilled that they have taken time out of their busy schedules to venture to Wotton in 2019.

Bring cakes to share at teatime. No partner needed, suitable for beginners and more experienced dancers.
