Build on your Workshop1 experience or if you are comfortable using Manual mode on your Digital SLR camera, this workshop will develop your skills and help you learn new techniques to become more creative.

CIRCLE DANCE : 7-9pm

FREE ENTRY

Circle Dance includes dances from different traditional backgrounds together with choreographed dances to many forms of music. This evening will be a selection of gentle, simple dances chosen to create a meditative programme. It will be suitable for beginners and experienced dancers alike. All dances will be taught and there is no need to have a partner.

Refreshments will be provided.

There is no charge for this event as it is sponsored by Wotton Quaker Meeting. You are welcome to join us.

UNDER THE EDGE QUILTER’S EXHIBITION - 'Creative Journey through Time' : 10am - 4pm

The Quilter’s exhibition celebrates 15 years of Under the Edge Quilters in Wotton. As well as the usual quilts and other textile items, refreshments, sales table and raffle; the highlight is the group’s ‘Hexi Quilt’. This was a group challenge like no other! About 16,000 1/2 inch hexagons have been English paper pieced, hand stitched and hand quilted by 30 members of the group. A real achievement in dedication, time and commitment. It has challenged everyone by one degree or another and taken 2 years from idea to completion.

EXHIBITION: Living Under the Edge : 10am - 4pm

Living Under the Edge is an exhibition by local artist Nicola Hill.
“I have been inspired to create whilst living in the lovely town of Wotton under edge. The beauty that I am surrounded by every day has inspired me to take up painting and creating images that are not only inspired from scenes of the town and country side but also the moments shared between the life here whether it be human or animal.
I enjoy looking at images from past and present and when I see an image I like I try to create my own version of it.
My work is impressionism with a dash of humour and my aim is to make the viewer smile as they imagine the story behind each image (as there is always a story).”
