Saturday 7th April 2018

Drop in for coffee and pastries between 10am -12 noon and meet Ali, our volunteer coordinator. Find out how you can help us and get involved in our events.

We need volunteers to help run our events - on the door, behind the bar, and setting up and clearing away. We also need help behind the scenes - putting up posters and doing the recycling to name a few. If you would like to get involved, or would just like to find out more, come along and talk to us. It's a great way to meet new people, and if you volunteer at an event you get to watch for free!

Sunday 29th April 2018

WORKSHOP: THE HARMONIC VOICE ( With tonight’s guests Light Garden) : 3-4pm

Come and find a skill you never knew you had

Calming and invigorating, intriguing and fun, this introductory workshop in overtone chanting of-fers a unique way of using the voice in a relaxed way. Singers and “non-singers” ALL welcome!

Overtone chanting is an ancient vocal technique centred on holding a single note and simultane-ously sounding the harmonics of that note.
The harmonics are heard above the drone note as a high pitched flute-like or bell-like sound. We will be demonstrating various techniques and teaching one specific one with the hope that
everyone will be able to produce some harmonics by the end of the session.
