VOLUNTEERS COFFEE MORNING featuring Dementia training session : 10-12 noon
Drop in for coffee and pastries between 10am -12 noon and meet Ali, our volunteer coordinator. Find out how you can help us and get involved in our events.
We need volunteers to help run our events - on the door, behind the bar, and setting up and clearing away. We also need help behind the scenes - putting up posters and doing the recycling to name a few. If you would like to get involved, or would just like to find out more, come along and talk to us. It's a great way to meet new people, and if you volunteer at an event you get to watch for free!
In addition, at 11am we will be hosting a Dementia training session given by Rachel Peak, Managing Memory 2gether (with a welcome and local information from Christine Sweet, Dementia Connections) . This will be an informative Dementia Awareness session which is essential for people who volunteer and meet people face to face at UTEA, Dementia Connections, local churches, The Ark, The Heritage Centre/One Stop Shop, Wotton Cinema.............This is for our volunteers and others in the town. It is in support of UTEA membership of the Dementia Friendly Wotton Committee and will last around one hour.
