Celebrations for Wotton Silver Band's 125th anniversary year would not be complete without a second performance at UTEA by the town's very own home-grown band.

Many people's idea of the music a brass band offers the listener is limited to a traditional march or hymn tune. Those who attended last year's concert experienced a very varied repertoire delivered with perhaps an unexpected degree of capability. This is a brass en-semble which dedicates itself to twice weekly rehearsals at their bandroom in Old Town, in order to maintain the high standards required to perform regular concerts but also to participate in competitions.

Under the watchful guidance of their experienced Musical Director Ian Dickinson, this con-cert will demonstrate the full range of musical styles and dynamic range an able brass band can deliver, from occasional moments of power to soft and movingly delicate melodies, evoking a range of emotions to stir the soul. Come to be thoroughly entertained and maybe a little surprised at the talent on your doorstep!
