Friday night Fred Talks returns with another three fascinating short talks by invited speakers.
Spend a relaxing evening at the end of the week listening to fascinating speakers on subjects that could include anything except politics, religion and sales pitches!

Robert Maxwell CVO CBE worked in business management and finance. In about 1967, he managed a study for the United Oxford Hospitals (a big NHS Teaching Hospital) and became deeply interested in, and involved with, Health Care, not only in the UK, but worldwide. He will talk to you about the NHS and its future against this background.

Christina Wheeler works as a film maker, story writer and collector of memories. She will talk about her recent work with South Gloucestershire’s Second World War Stories Project and other documentaries, past and present - exploring the importance of preserving stories and the power of the stories we tell ourselves.

Alastair Johnstone studied photography at A level at KLB and now aged 26 is pictures editor for one of the major UK newspapers. He will talk about his work.
