WINDS OF CHANGE : 7:45 - 8:45

A fascinating, informative and sometimes humorous journey across several centuries via bamboo and baroque flutes, flute, alto flute and piccolo. Nicola will talk about the repertoire and instruments and how changing and developing flutes have influenced composers. This informal 'recital' lasts about an hour and there will be opportunities to ask questions and have a close look at flutes.

Repertoire to include
Telemann Fantasie
CPE Bach - Sonata in A minor
Debussy - Syrinx
Koechlin - Chants de Nectaire
Ian Clarke - The Great Train Race ( The flute as you don't normally hear it )
Woodward - White Witch
