MOLLY AND THE MOON : 7:30pm (doors 7pm)
Join Molly-Anne and friends in an intimate, acoustic night of music in aid of
TreeSisters: women seeding change, a charity designed to empower women from the developing world through the reforestation of our precious, tropical rainforests.
Molly & The Moon are an alternative and uplifting musical group from local Gloucestershire, bringing a quaint British Folk charm to the Americana genre.
With a soulful, Folk inspired-sound fused with acoustic elements of Bluegrass and Americana, Molly-Anne accompanies herself on guitar and harmonica, backed by Beth Hill on banjo/double
bass, Andy Guy on guitar/double bass and Andy Chinner/Jason Titley on percussion.
Molly's distinctive, earthy vocal sound is beautifully complimented by the uplifting three-part harmonies of Beth and Andy, a real stand-out feature of their music.
Writing poetic, upbeat songs and enjoying a joyfully sweet but unabashed live presence, the band shine a new perspective on folk music, bringing the genre new ideas about consciousness,
spirituality, humanity, beauty, nature and peace. A passionate vegan and environmentalist, Molly hopes to spread love, unity and connection through her songwriting and enjoys a joyful live presence.
Molly has previously enjoyed sell-out headline shows in her local county of Gloucestershire and has recently supported Folk heroes Noble Jacks, Cara Dillon, Ninebarrow, Jessica Boswell
and Mishra on their UK tours. A recent highlight saw the band performing on the prestigious 'Under The Apple Tree' sessions, hosted by BBC Radio 2's 'Whispering' Bob Harris.
Molly & The Moon are looking forward to an exciting 2020, bringing new ideas, phases and genre-combinations to their music.
Join Molly & The Moon, plus a host of special guests for an evening of intimate, candlelight music to raise money for TreeSisters.
