The beautiful Chipping Hall is situated along one side of the Chipping Car Park where there is free short and long stay parking.

Hire The Chipping Hall
Why not hire The Chipping Hall for a one-off event?

The hall makes a great venue for a party or group meeting. The kitchen, seating, staging, lighting and sound systems can be at your disposal. We are easy to find with excellent access and parking directly outside.

Private function hire: £20 per hour plus £50 deposit

Perform at the Chipping Hall
*The hall can hold 80 seated and 120 standing*. It is a very flexible space with a bright main hall, kitchen and bar, 2 side entrances, a green room and parking right outside.

We have modular staging which volunteers will be happy to set up and dismantle as you require.
UTEA has its own lighting and sound systems. We have technicians but you may wish to provide your own. It’s up to you.
​
The Green Room has a sink, tea/coffee making facilities and seating.
​
UTEA will be happy to help promote your event.
​
Our volunteers make us a friendly and welcoming venue. There will always be a Coordinator at the event, as well as volunteers on the bar and door, who will welcome you and answer any questions.

Exhibitions at UTEA
Why not hold your next exhibition in the newly decorated, light and airy Chipping Hall?
With an exhibition wall hanging system in place, great access and parking, wi-fi, kitchen facilities and UTEA promotion, the Chipping Hall in its beautiful location is a fantastic place for group and solo exhibitions.

Available for weekend exhibition hire, the cost for a weekend is £120, which includes a preview on the Friday evening (7-9pm) with a UTEA-run bar.
Hold a Class/Workshop
Do you want to run a regular class or one-off workshop?
The Chipping Hall is a light, welcoming space with parking directly outside. There are 2 spaces available to hire: The Chipping Hall, a large space ideal for larger classes and groups and The U.A. Fanthorpe Room. This latter space would suit a class of around 8 people. There is a sink and coffee/tea making facilities in both spaces, WIFI throughout and seating/tables as you require. Some storage could be available for regular classes.

Pricing information: Chipping Hall £12/£14 per hour, Fanthorpe Room £7/£9 per hour.
