About
Clive Gregson returns to Under the Edge Arts for one last time to belatedly celebrate his 40th year in the business which was interrupted by a pandemic of all things! He’ll be finally hanging up his bus pass and retiring from solo touring at the end of the year.
A world-renowned singer, musician and record producer hailing from Manchester, he is one of the most respected songwriters of his generation, releasing a steady stream of stunning albums across four decades. Confined to his home studio during the many lockdowns, Clive wrote, recorded and released eight new albums! He’ll be sharing many of these new songs tonight.
Melody Maker described his band Any Trouble, as the most exciting new rock 'n' roll group since The Pretenders. He formed the ground-breaking partnership with Christine Collister. Mary Chapin Carpenter named him as one of her favourite songwriters. And according to Guitar Player, he is one of the 1000 great guitarists.
Why not come along and catch Clive doing what he does best, one man, one guitar sharing great songs. See you there!
“One of the most emotionally literate songwriters around.” The Guardian
“…a powerful and vital force in contemporary music.” fROOTS
“As fine a singer-songwriter as anyone has a right to expect…he does the lot.” The Independent
