Expressive Writing for Well-being
Time & Location
A developing body of research shows that expressive writing calms the mind and emotions and increases feelings of happiness and wellbeing. I provide various prompts such as: words, poems, art, post-cards, metaphors, interesting objects. We write there and then.
Sharing of writing and participation in the exercises is completely voluntary.This is not a “how to write” class and there is no need to worry about spelling, grammar or punctuation. No previous experience of creative writing is necessary. All you need is a willingness to reflect and play with words in a supportive environment, some paper or note book and a favorite pen.
