About

The Final Festival Concert of Wotton Arts Association postponed from last May will take place on Saturday September 11th at 7.30 pm in  St. Mary’s Church, Wotton.

The concert will be performed by The Bristol Ensemble under their director, Roger Huckle. The Bristol Ensemble have been a part of the festival for a number of years and have a fine reputation throughout the south west. Included in the programme will be Mozart’s Symphony No. 29, Elgar’s Serenade for Strings, and Vaughan Williams’ arrangement of Greensleeves. 

Talented local violinist Anna Geary will play Beethoven’s Romance in F, and a new piece, Divertimenti for Horn and Strings, by festival co-ordinator Gordon Phillips will receive its first performance. The horn soloist will be Stephen MacAlister.
