About
The Woodlanders are a band from Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire, bringing together rich harmonies, acoustic textures and a deep love of traditional roots music. Born out of the quiet aftermath of the 2020 lockdown, the band began when vocalist and banjo player Beth Cleaver and guitarist Jason Titley — both well-known figures on the UK bluegrass circuit — started playing together and shaping a shared love of music into a set of tunes and songs.
The line-up grew in 2021 with the addition of Andy Guy on upright bass and vocals, and mandolin player Joe Tozer, with fiddle player Sam Draper joining in 2024. Each member brings years of experience from folk, country and bluegrass projects, blending their influences into melodic, vocal-led performances that are both rooted and adventurous, intimate yet full-bodied.
Their self-titled debut album, released in 2024, reflects this spirit — a thoughtfully curated mix of classic and overlooked folk…
