About
We're really pleased to announce the return of our popular public speaker meetings. We haven't held a 'live' event since late 2019 and whilst zoom meetings work well when they're needed, there's nothing like being able to participate and engage with a real live speaker. I'm sure most of us have had enough zoom meetings for now!
Matthew Adams will be discussing Soil, Food and Health: 'No one knows or has managed to define what food quality is at a UK, European or Global level. Yet food quality is fundamental to human and planetary health. Growing Real Food for Nutrition CIC, (Grffn) based in Wotton Under Edge, are learning how to grow, measure and promote the benefits of nutrient dense food - an indicator of a well grown plant, that is totally resistant to pests and diseases, has increased yields and a better taste. These qualities are expressed in plants that have been grown in healthy soils and we are learning how to measure this as an indicator of food quality. Grffn are building the evidence by working in global partnerships, developing two citizen science projects for the UK, to explore these claims' Â Â Â Â Â Â Â To register your interest for this event please contact us by email to: wottonareacan@gmail.com
The event is free to attend, but donations to UTEA are welcome.
