About

Lynne and Martin Clarke will each be taking half of the Chipping Hall to hold their first joint exhibition titled "From Both Sides Now"

The title is inspired by the Joni Mitchell song issued in 1969, the year that the pair got together at Exeter University.

Lynne Clarke is well-known for her paintings of our local landscapes. Her last show at UTEA was the very successful "Up Tyley" in 2011. This time she will exhibit some Gloucestershire and Cornish landscapes in oils, pastels and watercolour along with some recent experimental work in mixed media.

Martin Clarke is holding his first exhibition. His paintings show recent work much of it 'en plein air' featuring earth pigments that he has collected and processed, and which will be exhibited. Sculptures are mainly small-scale using a variety of materials. He is a member of the Cotswold Sculptors Association. Photographs and cards will be for sale.

Exhibition preview from 7-9 on Friday 24th May, open 9-9 Saturday 25th and 9-5 Sunday 26th
