Please join us at our next volunteers’ coffee morning on Saturday 20th August 10am-noon to find out more about volunteering roles at UTEA and the available vacancies for Autumn.

Whatever your background or situation, here are some of the many opportunities to get involved and be part of our vibrant arts centre (whilst getting to see some fantastic events for free!)

Door and Bar Volunteers are crucial for most of our events plus we need volunteers to set up and clear away after an event.

Sound Engineers have the technical capabilities to run the PA during our live music events. Training can be provided.

Hospitality Would you be willing to prepare the occasional snack or meal for music performers or bake a cake if required?

Refreshments Serve tea, coffee and cake and welcome guests to daytime events like exhibitions, craft fairs and the “Why not” workshops.

Coordinators play a crucial role in the smooth running of live music events suitable for more experienced volunteers – opening and locking up, meeting and greeting the performers and volunteers.

Accommodation Hosts If you have a spare room in Wotton and would be prepared to host some of our bands and musicians, please get in touch.

Knowledge and skills Can you help us with marketing, social media, photography or filming of live events or anything else that we can add to our skills list?

Behind the scenes Putting up posters, distributing programmes, doing the recycling, fundraising, joining working groups for projects.

Maintenance Volunteers The Chipping Hall requires constant love and attention. There are a wide variety of repair jobs for which we seek willing volunteers, especially those with experience in building, plumbing, electrics and maintenance.

Social media A quick and easy way to help is to "Follow" or "like" us on social media, or share our events on your pages.  We really appreciate help advertising our events and reaching new people in this way.

No regular commitment is required at UTEA. We would love to hear from you if you can just help out occasionally or at short notice.

If you are interested in joining UTEA as a volunteer, please contact our new volunteer coordinator Debs at undertheedgearts@outlook.com
